Ethan Andrew Way, Senior Partner with the law firm of Gillis Way & Campbell, is extremely pleased to announce the acquittal of William J. Ray, of Carrabelle, Florida, on March 10, 2016. Mr. Ray was charged with 2 counts related to an alleged incident while he was a Correctional Sergeant at the Franklin Correctional Institution. The case against Mr. Ray was brought by the FBI and FDLE and prosecuted by the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida. After a four (4) day trial before the Honorable Mark E. Walker, in the US District Court of the Northern District of Florida, in Tallahassee, Florida, a jury found Mr. Ray not guilty after less than four (4) hours of deliberations.
Mr. Ray is relieved and looks forward to resuming his professional career.
